Rain-Shielded Dike Tanks are the solution to your exterior above ground
containment needs. The rain-shields are seal welded to the primary tank
but are removable from secondary containment dike if needed. They are
built on a 45 degree angle with 15% of the primary tank exposed (see
picture below). The rain-shield keeps the secondary containment from
filling up with water and keeps trash out. It also keeps the customer
from having to release water caught in the secondary containment in the
bad weather. These tanks are available in single compartment or
multi-compartment configurations. Quick and easy to install. Possess the
strength and impermeability of steel. Elevated to allow visual
inspection of exterior bottom and sidewall surfaces. Ideal for storage
of petroleum, chemicals, hazardous wastes, and fertilizers. Available in
15 standard sizes with any configuration. Dike holds between 110% to
150% of the primary tank. Custom designs and coatings are also available.
